SCORM??? What is it?
Simply put… Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) is a set of technical standards for eLearning software products. It defines communication between the learning content and the Learning Management System (LMS).
SCORM was started by the US government creating content in many different departments with no specific standards. They then decided to contract a research firm called Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) to develop a set of standards.
You may have also heard of AICC, which was another set of training technology standards developed by the Aviation Industry CBT Committee. Many of our clients also use AICC published courses on our LMS.

Why it’s important…
If you use or plan to use an eLearning content authoring tool like Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Claro, etc., SCORM and AICC enables you to upload the zip file created after publishing that content to an LMS like Cogentys.
